Body Corporate Services (BCS) is pleased to announce the commencement of Sue Seymour as the new Branch Manager for the BCS Mackay branch. In her new role, Sue takes over leading a successful team servicing strata schemes and community titles in Mackay, Airlie Beach and surrounding districts from former Branch Manager Christine Eccles, who has relocated to the BCS Southport office.
“This is a real coup for BCS. Sue’s appointment will add great strength and experience to our management team in Queensland,” said Jason Starr-Thomas, Group Chief Operating Officer.
Sue has a wealth of strata management experience, having spent seven years as CEO for AD Strata in Brisbane. In addition, Sue holds a Real Estate Licence, a Certificate IV in Strata and is a board member of Community Titles Institute of Queensland (CTIQ), the peak industry body for body corporate and community title management in Queensland.
Sue’s board level involvement in the CITQ will ensure BCS is directly involved in driving strata industry profile through law reform, education and training. She is presently CTIQ Secretary and has also been a member of the CTIQ Conference Committee for five years, striving to improve the profile of body corporate management.
“Managing body corporates is truly an exciting and professional industry. Government, lot owners, committees and the wider community need to be more aware of the importance of the role of the strata manager, and how we can all work together to achieve the best outcome for the body corporate,” Ms. Seymour said.
