“Denis worked for Body Corporate Services (BCS) for 18 years starting in June 1991 and working until his retirement in July 2009. Even then he stayed on retainer providing us with the benefit of his years of experience and skills,” Greg said.

“He was Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of BCS Queensland and was responsible for growing the business in Far North Queensland establishing offices in Cairns, Port Douglas, Townsville and Mackay. He was very successful in the developer space by establishing strong relationships with developers helping them with consultation in strata compliance”

Denis was also a tireless worker for the former Community Titles Institute of Queensland (CTIQ) now known as Strata Community Australia (Queensland) where he was a Director for nine years and Senior Vice President. He also served on many committees and working groups.

The strata industry acknowledged his dedication and Denis was awarded the status of Fellow.

Greg paid tribute to his former colleague saying that Denis was a joy to be around and enjoyed a good joke.

“He was a close personal friend to me and others in the company and industry. He taught many of us the finer points of living and, after an enjoyable meal, was known to relish a glass of Cointreau, Sambucca or a good cognac.”

“He will be missed by many. Our condolences to his partner Liz, his family and his numerous friends”
