Originally a factory turned motel, the property became a strata complex of 100 residential units and three commercial lots in the 1980s.  Run down, the building featured a number of long term complex structural issues which significantly inflated costs leading to high strata fees for owners.

David's experience as a former Chief Financial Officer and industry knowledge allowed the committee to implement a strategic management plan to rejuvenate the building.

During this transformation process David saved the committee more than a million dollars in costs by recommending a commercial loan facility and professional financial management team that eliminated the need for special levies.

"Just a short note to say thank you so very much. At 11.45pm last night (Christmas Eve) we had big dramas with our toilet which started around 11.00pm. After my husband did all that he could to try and rectify the problem, I rang Community After Hours Emergency Service. My call was answered by a lovely man, I think Andy, who asked me what the problem was and if it was an emergency, I said yes it was and proceeded to tell him what had happened. He said he would have to ring someone and wake them. He then spoke to my husband and said he would try and get someone and would call us back. He then took our details. Within 10 minutes we received a return call from a plumber who said he would be there in 15 minutes. When he arrived, at 12.13am, I apologised profusely and he was very polite and friendly, given it being Christmas Eve, but by now it was Christmas Day.  He fixed the problem, much to our relief and left within 10 minutes. Your service could not be faulted and we were obviously very grateful."

"I wish to express my appreciation for the prompt and courteous service provided by your Portfolio Manager Katrina McEachen. After losing our long term tenant of some nine years we have been forced to deal with the arduous task of renovating the unit. Unfortunately we were unaware of the body corporate by-laws relating to the required approvals by the committee with respect to the renovations and had pre-arranged workmen to commence the works. As we only had a narrow opportunity to line all the ducks up in a row any delay would have meant a serious delay in the completion of works and extended the financial burden. Thankfully, after having telephone discussions with Katrina  and forwarding the relevant correspondence required she has ensured that the scope of works will proceed as planned without any delay. Having other investment properties on the Gold Coast we are fully conversant with the service or should I say  lack of service provided by body corporate management companies.
